Scott Stoddart FultzScott took up the bass guitar when Cold Sweat was founded in 1985. A singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist, he is influenced by a wide variety of music genres, including metal, progressive rock, pop, country, bluegrass, jazz...you get the idea. While his primary instrument is the acoustic guitar, Scott is a fine bassist, favoring the six-string bass for its extended range which gives him more melodic and chordal possibilities than a four- or five-string instrument. Scott also plays harmonica and electric guitar, but started on the piano. He plays some keyboards in the three-piece version of Cold Sweat. When Cold Sweat went on extended sabbatical in 1996, Scott formed the Scott Fultz Band, a vehicle for his acoustic guitar-based songs, many of which had been written earlier but were not in line with Cold Sweat's electric sound.
